Buyer and development questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Practical answers for brands, retailers and project teams planning custom travel, beauty and lifestyle accessories.

What types of products can Ecophay develop?

Current product routes cover beauty and toiletry bags, tech accessories, travel bags, travel organizers and small lifestyle accessories. The right route depends on the intended use, construction and collection brief.

Can one design be developed across multiple SKUs?

Yes. A shared print, color, material, trim or labeling direction can be considered across several compatible formats. Each product still needs its own construction and specification review.

Does Ecophay support OEM and ODM projects?

Ecophay supports projects that start from an existing buyer specification as well as projects that need more development input. The working route is confirmed after the brief, references and required level of customization are reviewed.

What should I include in the first project brief?

Share the product types, intended use, target quantity or working range, number of SKUs, target market, desired timing and any brand guidelines, sketches, reference products or specifications already available.

What is the MOQ?

MOQ is not one universal number across every product. It depends on product construction, material and trim availability, branding method, color requirements and the number of SKUs. Share the target quantity so a relevant route can be reviewed.

Can materials and certification requirements be specified?

Yes. State the required material composition, performance needs, market and documentation requirements in the brief. Availability and certification status must be confirmed for the selected supply route; they are not assumed across every product.

How does sampling work?

Sampling begins after the product route, construction, materials, trims, branding and key dimensions are sufficiently clear. Feedback is then used to refine the specification before production planning.

Which branding options are available?

Branding may involve labels, print, embroidery, patches, hardware or packaging, depending on the product and material. Suitability is reviewed against the construction, visual brief and quantity.

Can packaging be developed with the product?

Packaging and labeling requirements can be discussed as part of the project. The appropriate option depends on the product, presentation needs, packing method, destination and compliance requirements.

How do I request a quotation or development review?

Use Start a Project and provide the information already available. A useful first review can begin before every detail is finalized.

Have a product-specific question?
